JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to lead our marketing team. As the Director of Marketing, you will play a crucial role in creating and leading the overall marketing strategy for our new portfolio company.
Day-to-day activities include managing SEM (including SEO), owning and managing the lead funnel and nurture programs, generating leads via email, social platforms, events, webinars, event marketing, advertising and other programs, and optimizing these efforts based on results analysis. Being able to derive insights from the data and turn these insights into action is a key part of this position. This position is a hybrid of strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Since the Director of Marketing will contribute to new business acquisition, your work will be highly visible to all levels and departments within the organization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Demand Generation – creation of a significant marketing-generated qualified pipeline, ruthlessly prioritizing ROI.
Product marketing – creation and dissemination of a revamped content strategy
Sales enablement – creation of materials that enable the sales team to be more effective and efficient at selling and closing new logo business
General ownership of Marketing Strategy, Budget, Tools, Reporting, and Team hiring/management
Annualized strategy – develop, present and actively manage a multi-year integrated Marketing strategy
Development of team – mentoring and coaching direct reports to build skills within overall corporate succession plan needs
Budget Management – Responsible for overall Marketing financial requirements
Coordinates with administrative professionals to update and enhance key account, contact, opportunity and pursuit activity data in CRM database
Execution of Internal and External plan – Responsible for all Marketing executions
Aligns programs/campaigns with marketing and business strategy, focusing on relevancy of positioning, key messaging, and adherence to brand identity guidelines as well as compliance and legal requirements
Builds relationships with strategically aligned industry or trade associations and publications, and coordinates sponsorships, speaking engagements, news releases and other activities to build brand eminence and permission assets within target sectors
Innovative Initiatives – Continually develop insightful and innovative projects linked to objectives
Brand Management – Develop & implement programs to protect the brand image
Brand Monitoring – Establish and execute research regularly to monitor the brand image
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
8-10 years experience in marketing focusing on services specifically in B2B industry
Experience in SaaS required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Significant experience and understanding of demand generation and marketing metrics
Budget, forecasting and financial responsibilities demonstrated
Brand management experience
Ability to work and lead within a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Self-directed and data-driven with demonstrated track record of working hard and meeting daily/weekly deliverables in prior roles, ideally with some experience delivering on professional responsibilities in a remote work capacity
Willingness to work long hours when required to deliver a superior level of service to the organization, which is global and working across multiple time zones.
