Job Title: Global Tech Lead – Master Data Management Platform

Location: North America (Remote)
Reports To: Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO)
Company: Private Equity Portfolio Company (HQ: New York City)

Overview

We are seeking a Global Tech Lead to drive the evolution of our Master Data Management (MDM) platform as part of a broader initiative to build a comprehensive enterprise data operations platform. This role will provide technical leadership and architectural direction while managing two engineering teams based in France.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role within a fast-moving private equity portfolio company, with several M&A integrations planned in the coming year. The Global Tech Lead will bridge strategy and execution, ensuring that our platform scales, evolves, and delivers on our data product vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership, architecture direction, and product engineering oversight across distributed teams (France).

  • Manage and mentor two engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, agile delivery, and alignment with company objectives.

  • Own the technical roadmap and guide the evolution of the Master Data Management (MDM) platform.

  • Partner closely with product leadership to translate strategic objectives into executable technical initiatives.

  • Lead full-stack solution design and implementation – including front-end UX, APIs, data modeling, and integrations.

  • Champion AI-native development practices, driving the use of AI for code generation and productivity, not merely as a co-pilot.

  • Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability across all parts of the platform.

  • Collaborate with M&A teams to integrate acquired technologies and data products into the core platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).

  • Technical Leadership: 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams or large-scale technical initiatives.

  • Architecture & Design: Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise-grade data products.

  • Full-Stack Expertise:

    • Front-end: Angular (or similar modern frameworks)

    • Back-end: Java or Scala

  • Data Product Experience: Familiarity with data modeling, data quality and reporting.

  • AI Advocacy: Demonstrated belief in and experience with AI-native software development workflows (e.g., using LLMs for design, coding, and testing acceleration).

  • Strong communicator able to work cross-functionally with global stakeholders and multicultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to enterprise data management, ETL, or data integration platforms.

  • Experience with microservices architectures, cloud-native deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Experience with Terraform and/or Kubernetes, to partner with world class devops.

  • Familiarity with post-M&A system integration and harmonization projects.

  • Prior experience in global team management across time zones.

Why Join Us

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping a next-generation enterprise data platform.

  • Lead diverse, talented teams across continents.

  • Join a company at a strategic inflection point with aggressive growth and M&A plans.

  • Drive innovation through AI-native development practices and modern engineering principles.

  • Build AI right into our product, as we infuse AI across our product lifecycle.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
