Fractional CFO
Role
As a member of the Finance team, the Accounting Manager / Finance Manager will be a part of a nimble, PE backed company, in which team members act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team. Finance plays a critical, highly valued role by providing data-driven insights to operationalize initiatives and execute financial performance.
The ideal candidate for this position has a well-rounded finance and accounting background and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. This position will provide support for reporting, planning, strategic analytics, and treasury operations. The candidate should be a self-starter, team-oriented, inquisitive and focused on driving results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly reporting and forecasting analysis of revenue and margin including research, explanation and resolution of monthly variances. Ensure accuracy and transparency of results.
Create ad-hoc financial and valuation models to support new product development, business performance, and cost management.
Support the CEO and Bloom team in the analysis and the preparation of monthly financial reporting, operational reviews and board presentations.
Drive disciplined cost management and expense planning processes in concert with functional business leader. Leverage ROI models to prioritize resources and govern decision making.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits
Assist with the maintenance of HR records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in improving its competitive position and profitability.
Develop comprehensive business cases for proposed investments and participate in presentation to executive leadership team and Board of Directors, when appropriate.
Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models, benchmarking, and process analysis.
Support M&A activities including deal modeling, due diligence and integration processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
English speaking required
Work onsite with the French team
Expert knowledge of French tax and accounting practices
5-8 years related experience in FP&A. Undergraduate degree required.
Detail oriented and able to work in a face paced environment.
Willingness to accept new challenges, and a high level of curiosity and creativity as it relates to new projects, and finding solutions to problems.
Effective communication and cross functional business partnering. Ability to present to all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
Financial modeling and analysis skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Proven experience and knowledge of accounting concepts and financial statement construction.
