The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be based in the United States and be passionate about driving the financial success of our business. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:
15+ years of progressive financial management experience including, ideally, a minimum of 3-5 years of CFO experience
Private Equity backed Portfolio Company Experience; Exit experience preferred
M&A Experience
Technical proficiency in SaaS / enterprise technology revenue recognition, with an understanding of ERP, CRM and other relevant billing dependencies
The Job
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and driving growth initiatives for the portfolio company. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, contributing to decision-making processes, and ensuring the organization's financial health and stability. This position reports directly to the CEO and to the Board of Directors.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy, aligning it with our long-term business goals and growth objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
Financial Management and Reporting:
Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Generate timely and accurate financial reports for executive management and the board, providing actionable insights for business performance improvement.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Evaluate and manage financial risks, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets and reputation.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and accounting principles.
Software Expertise:
Leverage prior experience in the software industry to assess and strengthen the company's commercial posture, protecting sensitive financial data and intellectual property from potential threats.
Mergers and Acquisitions:
Collaborate with the executive team in identifying and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships to drive business expansion and diversification.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
